Video C1L2 Premiere Rush layering iPad

  1. We will be collecting specific video clips for this project that we will combine later
  2. First make sure that your iPad is recording in 720p. Here is how to change your iPad to 720p:
    1. Go to your settings app.
    2. Scroll down and find the camera section
    3. Select Record Video
    4. Choose 720p HD at 30 fps.
  3. Important *** Don't forget to record all video horizontally or in landscape mode instead of vertically in portrait. ***
  4. Use rule of thirds
  5. You are going to record an interview with someone(could be yourself which is a little weird, but will work) about what gives them hope for the future. I am hoping you will be serious about this, but humer is good also
  6. Here are a list of clips you should record, be sure you have each one as the project during next class is going to assume you have them all. Here is the clip list:
    1. Clip 1: An introduction of yourself and what question you will be asking. You should be seated or standing in a way that looks like you could be interviewing someone even if they are not there. Example:
    2. Clip 2: A video of you asking you interviewee "What is you hope for the future?". Pretend to look at your interviewee as you ask the question. Example 2:
    3. Clip 3: A video of you pretending to listen to your interviewee then thanking them for their response. Pretend to look at your interviewee. Example 3:
    4. Clip 4: A video of you looking at the camera and saying: "Hope for these troubled times" Example 4:
    5. Clip 5: A video of the interviewee answering the question. Example 5:
    6. Clip 6: A 20 second B roll clip. Subject sitting at their desk working or doing something that is just being them. Example 6:
    7. Clip 7: A 20 second B roll clip of the interviewee walking down the hall or doing something else that they normally do. Example:
  7. The goal of this assignement is to edit the clips you collected into a nice video. So here is the sample of fully edited video from Adobe Premiere Pro:
  8. Your timeline should look like the picture below
  9. timeline
  10. Notice that the B-Roll Clips were used during the longer time while the interviewee was talking make sure your video has those
  11. Be sure at least all 7 clips appear in the video
  12. Add titles to the video
  13. Ajust the sound so that you can hear the people talking
  14. Don't use vertical video
  15. Overall quality work
  16. Export the video in 720p 30 quality and turn it in
