Video C2L1 Premiere Pro News Anchor

  1. Look up a current event or news worthy item on the internet. Some good sources are fox news, adventist review news, cnn or something like that.
  2. No news about pro sports/celebrities please! They already get too much attention.
  3. Pick one that is interesting to you and that would be good with a picture in the background and write up a 100-150 word script for you to report on.
  4. Also download two pictures about your news event to use as the background of the video
  5. Use Microsoft word on your iPad to write it up. Use a larger easy to read font to write it so that you can use it as your "telepromper". Next class period you will film with a partner your self doing the news article with the green screen in one take. Read it a couple times and be sure you know how to pronounce difficult words
  6. Turn it in
  7. How Convert Your Mov file to MP4.
  8. Make a folder in your Computer Apps Folder called News
  9. Put all of your files that you are going to use for this project in the News folder
  10. Edit your video in Adobe Premeire Pro
  11. Open Adobe Premeire Pro.
  12. *** Be sure to save the Premeire Pro Project in the your news folder also. ***
  13. The files that you should have in your news folder before you start editing are the following:<
    1. Video of you from your iPad
    2. Audio file in your folder on the server that is a WAV file
    3. Two pictures
  14. As you are following along with the second tutorial video be sure that you don't miss doing any of the following
  15. Edit out the parts of the video where you messed up talking.
  16. Edit the video down to be 45-60 seconds. If you took less then 45 seconds to read the news then go with your whole video with mistakes edited out.
  17. Be sure you added a subtitle with your name that has a background so that we aren't reading text over pictures.
  18. Be sure you added a second subtitle with the subject you are covering in the news.
  19. Be sure that you turn in your Video MP4 file and not the project
